Blackmagic Design Pocket Cinema Camera 6K G2 Overview

The Blackmagic Design Pocket Cinema Camera 6K G2 is a compact Super35 camera that adds to the acclaimed Blackmagic Design series. This cine-style camera maintains the same 6K S35 sensor, recording features, dynamic range, interface ports, and controls as its predecessor, the 6K Pro, but at a more affordable price by trimming a few features. Key features carried over from the 6K Pro include a 5" tilting touchscreen LCD, optional Pro EVF and battery grip, dual mini-XLR audio inputs, an NP-F570 L-series battery slot, and the updated Generation 5 color science. By excluding internal ND filters and reducing the LCD brightness, Blackmagic Design allows users to choose between two nearly identical 6K models based on their specific needs.

Super35 Image Sensor/Dual Native ISO

• The Pocket Cinema Camera 6K G2 features a Super35 size sensor with 13 stops of dynamic range and dual native ISOs of 400 and 3200, expandable up to 25,600. This setup enables the capture of rich, detailed images at resolutions up to 6144 x 3456 at 60 fps.

Gen 5 Color Science

• Utilizing the same advanced Gen 5 color science as the 6K Pro and URSA Mini Pro 12K, the 6K G2 makes it easy to intercut footage between the 6K Pro, 6K, and BMPCC 4K cameras.

Tilting 5" LCD Touchscreen

• Blackmagic Design Pocket Cinema Camera 6K G2 is equipped with a 5" tilting HDR touchscreen LCD, facilitating easy viewing and setting adjustments. The tilting function is particularly beneficial when shooting in high or low positions.
